ICREON OFFICE
The clients wanted to build an iconic new office to accommodate their growing numbers. The site is a corner plot with longer side oriented towards North, which is the ideal orientation for maximum light and minimum heat gain. The building has been split into three masses – offices, stairwell and balconies. This reflects our belief that a new age office needs to be conducive to collaboration with break out spaces and modern technology.
Our design inputs focused on enhancing the sustainability aspect by utilizing passive solar techniques. Light shelves are incorporated to achieve deep penetration of daylight within interiors. The front façade faces north and is clad in glass. This lets in ample glare-free light inside the building, thereby reducing the dependence on artificial lighting. The southern façade has been kept solid, while many parts of the building are shaded by screens; thereby minimizing heat gain.
The large tree inside plot has been kept intact, while densely planted vegetation along outer periphery create desirable green periphery. Tastefully done interiors, in a light colour palette lends a luxurious aura to the office. The program has been stacked on three floors to create an imposing iconic form.
