Located in one unit of a premium group housing project, the sprawling duplex apartment enjoys sweeping views of the adjacent golf course and the Aravalli range in the distance. Keeping in mind the theme the client desired, we designed for a Moroccan pallette with Indian materials and craftsmanship. The design attempted to negotiate the scale of interiors, by carving out intimate and cozy spaces, at the same time defining zones which are contained yet visually cohesive. A muted palette ensured that the spaces seem airy and light during the day, with light emphasizing the niches as opposed to the walls. The textural qualities of the materials were highlighted through contrast creating a juxtaposition of fabric ceiling, lakori brick flooring and stone partitions which led to an eclectic end result.
